The main purpose of the company was to acquire/take over those properties, rights, and responsibilities of Pakistan, Water, and Power Development Authority, including of administrative division formally known as the Islamabad Area Electricity Board (AEB), and to carry on, expand and increase the business and activities.
IESCO has a wide coverage network. It extends from the Indus River to Neelum River (Kashmir) and Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, and Jhelum. However, this extensive and diversified network of IESCO supplies sometimes creates difficulties for users in receiving the hard copy of bills in time. Sometimes they got misplaced and lost too.
