That’s why the world’s best smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi are offering some exceptional budget phones. Earlier this year, the launch of Xiaomi Redmi A3x took the market by surprise by offering some valuable features at a reasonable price.

By following the hype, we dived in and investigated, it is not the only budget phone offering attractive features. There are many other phones trying to beat the Redmi A3x price in Pakistan with a decent set of features. But, are these really worth it?

Reviewing Redmi A3x vs Competitors

When finding answers out of curiosity to evaluate how the quality, specs, and prices vary among Redmi A3x and other phones in a similar budget range. The exploration was amazing as we went up and down the hill bringing out a few competitors of the phone trying to meet the scale.

Redmi A3X

Xiaomi Redmi series never fails to impress with its ultimate design and manufacture of smartphones. Other than the flagships, it works great on budget phones and we can see it in the design and finish of Redmi A3x. It’s sleek, elegant and sophisticated. For some reason we found the camera bump a little bit big, but the in-hand experience is quite different. It doesn’t look that bad or feel uncomfortable at all.

Specifications

Coming to the specifications the phone is offering you a sufficient 3GB RAM supporting the latest Octa-core Unisoc T603 with a storage of 64GB. It is an ideal setup for day-to-day operations like playing simple games, viewing videos, scrolling social media and more. It is rare to get a good camera in a budget phone but Redmi A3x does have it. Giving you an 8MP AI Main + 5MP Front camera the phone is a yes for day-to-day photography. It keeps the colours vibrant in pictures and AI makes smart fixes to give an enhanced look.

Verdict

Definitely, you cannot expect Redmi A3x to run high-end games or go beyond limits for low-light photography like the Xiaomi 14T. But, it’s a perfect package on its own and beats all of the competitors really well.

Sparx Neo 5 Pro

In our comparison, we took Sparx Neo 5 Pro as a competitor for Redmi A3x as the phone costs less and offers some decent features. Overall, it looks simple coming in four colours, purple, blue, gold, and black. The 3-camera set makes it look rich and resemble another high-end phone.

Specifications

Sparx Neo 5 Pro comes with a 6.5-inch screen which is a bit short compared to Redmi A3x. However, it offers you a 3-camera setup that includes a 13MP main, 2MP VGA macro and 8MP front camera. So, you can have clean and nice pictures but these can be blurred or lack stability. Expecting too much from a VGA is wrong as it’s very basic.

You are getting an Octa Core UNISOC SC9863A chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Apparently, the combination is good but doesn’t support much or even regular uses. You can use the device for some basic uses and beware of slowed performance more frequently.

Verdict

Compared to the Redmi A3x, we do not consider the Neo 5 Pro a good deal. It can be a low-cost device but does not promise great performance and somehow lacks at multiple technical points.

Itel A26

Another phone we compared with the Redmi A3x is the Itel A26. Coming in a reasonable price range the phone was added to the list for its budget perspective. As many users look at the price, not technical specs we did that filtration here.

Specifications

Itel A26 comes with a Quad Core UniSoc SC9863A chipset along with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Apparently, it is a decent combination for the price but compared to Redmi A3x, it’s not a good fit. The processor is slower and even RAM is on the lower side. A basic setup of a 5MP main and 2MP front camera seems good for nothing. It cannot even take the basic pictures and videos making things even bad for you.

Verdict

Investing in an Itel A26 is definitely a bad idea as the phone doesn’t guarantee you any good from its performance to durability. The very basic phone may only work for a few calls and have a short working life.

Sparx Neo 7 Plus

Another one we picked out for comparison is the Sparx Neo 7 Plus. Not on the basis of price but features. The cost of the smartphone is higher than the Redmi A3x but the features somehow match its par so we gave it a try to review.

Specifications

The 6.5-inch display phone comes with a 13MP main and 8MP front camera nicely added to the sleek design of the phone. You can get attractive colours in the phone making it a yes for investment. Plus, a 1.6 GHz Octa Core chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage is a good combination to make your daily operations smooth. It gives you a good experience of multi-tasking but during the games, the phone can slow down.

Verdict

Although the phone matches a good set of features compared to Redmi A3x, it doesn’t surpass its price range. You can get similar features and a better processor in A3x at a lesser price.

Teno Pop 5

Tecno has been providing smart and budget phones in the market and impressing many customers so we picked out Tecno Pop 5 which is a low-cost and sleek phone by the company. Upon comparing it with the Redmi A3x we found out why the phone should be avoided.

Specifications

It’s a very basic phone coming in at a low price but that doesn’t even count. You are getting a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage which is of no use. The phone cannot even run the latest version of apps so you cannot even think of multi-tasking at all. Plus, the camera set is extremely basic as you have a 5MP Main and front camera for some average pictures.

Verdict

If you have a budget of around 20,000PKR for a smartphone, we do not recommend you invest in Tecno Pop 5. Instead, you can look out for Redmi A3x at Xiaomi Sale to get it at an even better price offering you a good set of features.

The Verdict – Which One to Buy?

After reviewing all the smartphones in the range of 20,000 to 25,000 we got some reality checks. There is no doubt you can get a smartphone even under 20,000 in Pakistan’s market easily, but most of these are compromised. Either these are giving you a camera but not the memory, and if there is good memory then the chipset is compromised. Plus, the life of these smartphones is limited so you are always at a stake.

Conclusively, the Redmi A3X price in Pakistan justifies its quality and set of features. Xiaomi designed the phone for budget consumers considering their need for a reasonable camera, decent space, and a sophisticated chipset. You are getting everything in one phone. Plus, if you wish to bag a better price of Redmi A3 in Pakistan then Xiaomi Sale is giving you some massive discounts. Check out their sale prices on all Xiaomi smartphones, accessories, lifestyle and eco-products.
