Powered by MediaTek MT8781 and SIMO Virtual SIM™, MindOne delivers built-in global fallback connectivity across 140+ countries—keeping AI available when networks fail
Las Vegas, January 7, 2026 — iKKO today revealed MindOne, a new card-sized AI smartphone created in collaboration with MediaTek and SIMO, marking a significant step toward a future where artificial intelligence is not occasional—but continuously present.
Designed around the concept of Always-On AI, MindOne combines MediaTek’s connectivity-optimized MT8781 platform with SIMO’s patented Virtual SIM™ (vSIM) technology. Together, these technologies enable instant fallback mobile data connectivity across more than 140 countries when Wi-Fi or physical SIM networks become unavailable or unstable—helping AI services remain accessible in real-world, unpredictable network conditions.
As AI transitions from a feature to a constant digital companion, iKKO believes uninterrupted connectivity is no longer optional—it is foundational.
From “Sometimes Available” to Always Present
Modern AI tools promise intelligence on demand, but their usefulness often collapses the moment connectivity falters. Whether at an airport gate, in a foreign city, during cross-border travel, or just before an important meeting, users are still forced to hunt for Wi-Fi or juggle roaming SIMs.
MindOne is designed to eliminate that friction.
By embedding a global redundancy connectivity layer directly into the device, MindOne aims to ensure AI remains accessible when inspiration strikes, when tasks arise, and when communication matters most—without manual setup, SIM swapping, or roaming anxiety.
The goal is simple: AI that stays with you.

Always-On AI as a Design Philosophy
MindOne redefines AI not as a feature you activate, but as a state of presence that adapts to your life:
- Always available — no waiting for networks, no hotspot searches
- Always responsive — speak, record, or capture instantly
- Always present — consistent experiences across countries, locations, and conditions
When connectivity fades into the background, AI can finally take center stage. That philosophy underpins every design decision behind MindOne.
vSIM: The Connectivity Backbone Behind Always-On AI
For iKKO, connectivity is infrastructure—not a checkbox feature. Without reliable data access, even the most advanced AI is reduced to offline tools.
MindOne integrates SIMO’s patented Virtual SIM™ technology, designed to provide configuration-free fallback mobile data when primary networks fail. This supplemental connectivity layer enables:
- Instant global fallback mobile data access
- Seamless cross-border usage without SIM swapping
- Reduced dependency on public Wi-Fi or roaming plans
- Greater continuity for AI-powered services in constrained environments
The experience is meant to feel invisible: users don’t think about connectivity—AI simply works.

MediaTek MT8781: Built for Connectivity-First Devices
MindOne is powered by the MediaTek MT8781, a platform optimized for low power consumption and dependable connectivity—making it well suited for ultra-portable, always-connected smart devices.
Working closely with MediaTek, iKKO completed MindOne’s hardware and software development with system-level optimization for connectivity management across varied global environments.
“MindOne isn’t about figuring out how to get online—it’s about making sure AI doesn’t disappear when networks become unreliable,” said Echo Chan, CEO of iKKO.
“AI should stay with you like time itself: you speak, it understands; you capture, it summarizes; wherever you go, your work and exploration continue.”
Industry Leaders on the Collaboration
“vSIM enables device makers to embed global, multi-carrier fallback connectivity directly into next-generation hardware,” said Jing Liu, CEO of SIMO.
“MindOne shows how resilient connectivity can support truly always-available AI experiences.”
SIMO’s Virtual SIM™ provides coverage across more than 140 countries, offering a backup data layer when Wi-Fi or primary carriers become unreliable. Availability may vary by region and local network conditions.
“In the AI era, connectivity is no longer just a utility—it’s the foundation of intelligent experiences,” added Liu.
“MediaTek platforms are designed to deliver reliable connectivity, energy efficiency, and strong performance for AI and IoT devices,” said CK Wang, VP and GM of the IoT Business Unit at MediaTek.
“MindOne demonstrates how multilayer connectivity and system-level optimization can create dependable Always-On AI for users worldwide.”
MindOne: Ultra-Portable Design, Global AI Capability
Staying true to iKKO’s philosophy of ultra-lightweight, ultra-portable, and ultra-intelligent devices, MindOne packs advanced AI capability into a card-sized form factor:
- Built-in global fallback mobile data connectivity (MediaTek platform + SIMO vSIM)
- Dual-system experience: Android + iKKO AI OS
- Local AI tools for productivity, learning, travel, and focus
- Low-power design supporting all-day use
MindOne makes connectivity feel natural—so AI can truly move with the user.
