Questflow Secures $6.5M to Build a Decentralized AI Agent Economy on Blockchain

Questflow, a platform designed to orchestrate AI agents within the multi-agent economy, has raised $6.5 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by CyberFund, with participation from Delphi Labs, Systemic Ventures, Eden Block, White Star Capital, Web3.com, Animoca Brands, HashKey Capital, Wagmi Ventures, ElizaOS, the Tezos Foundation, and CatcherVC. The company also received grants from Aptos, Coinbase Developer Platform, and Virtuals Protocol.

The funding will accelerate Questflow’s vision to create an on-chain AI workforce capable of automating workflows for individuals and enterprises while preserving human oversight for critical actions.

Multi-Agent Orchestration Protocol for Connected AI Systems

Questflow’s core technology is the Multi-Agent Orchestration Protocol (MAOP), which allows multiple AI agents to communicate, coordinate, and execute workflows on-chain in real time. It overcomes the isolation of existing AI systems by enabling seamless collaboration while keeping humans in control of key decisions.

“Our mission is to build an AI agent economy that can support any workflow,” said Bob Xu, co-founder and CEO of Questflow. “From freelancers to enterprise teams, everyone should have access to a transparent, always-available AI workforce.”

Linking AI Through Task and Token Orchestration

Most AI agents today operate in silos, disconnected from blockchain networks. Questflow solves this through two orchestration approaches.

Task orchestration enables AI swarms to perform multi-step workflows across Web2 tools like Google Workspace, Airtable, and Notion, as well as Web3 dApps and protocols.

Token orchestration provides each AI agent with an on-chain wallet, enabling micropayments and agent-to-agent transactions instantly, transforming AI agents into active participants in a decentralized economy.

Early Momentum and Ecosystem Growth

Questflow has already gained recognition from a16z, Cohere, and MongoDB. It was selected for Google for Startups and named Product of the Day on Product Hunt.

The platform is expanding its partner network with organizations like Google, Coinbase Developer Platform, Circle, Aptos, Near, CoinGecko, and Jambo Phone, bridging Web2 and Web3 environments to support broader adoption.

The AI Workforce Flywheel

Questflow is driving the growth of a decentralized AI agent economy with an on-chain flywheel that includes:

  1. Create – Developers and creators can design, deploy, and monetize AI swarms with a no-code editor and SDK, each linked to an on-chain wallet.
  2. Use – End users deploy swarms to automate workflows while maintaining oversight for sensitive tasks.
  3. Pay – Transparent, instant micropayments ensure fair compensation for AI agents.
  4. Tokenize – Communities can launch and govern AI swarms through tokenization, enabling collective ownership and participation.

“Providing AI agents with wallets is just the beginning,” Xu noted. “The real innovation is enabling them to collaborate, transact, and earn autonomously, creating a self-sustaining AI workforce economy.”

Scaling the Future of AI Collaboration

With this funding, Questflow will enhance its orchestration capabilities, introduce ecosystem incentives, and open the MAOP protocol to developers and partners for real-world applications.

As AI and blockchain converge, Questflow is positioned to unify previously disconnected AI systems and allow anyone to deploy on-chain AI workforces that combine the reliability of software with the adaptability of human teams.

By enabling permissionless creation, coordination, and monetization of AI agents, Questflow is laying the foundation for a decentralized AI Agent Economy where intelligent agents can transact, collaborate, and create value autonomously.
