NEW YORK, 2026 — Waterfall Asset Management and ExodusPoint Capital have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly develop and launch SigmaX, an intelligent digital trading platform designed to combine traditional asset management expertise, multi-strategy investment capabilities and digital technology.
The collaboration aims to provide investors with integrated access to market information, trading tools and investment services. By bringing together the two firms’ experience across institutional investing, global markets, risk management and technology, the partnership will explore a more secure, transparent and efficient model for delivering digital investment services.
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in New York, Waterfall Asset Management has built extensive experience in asset-based finance and investment management, primarily serving institutional investors. Over the years, the firm has developed capabilities across asset allocation, market research and risk management. Its participation in the development of SigmaX represents a further step toward integrating traditional asset management expertise with financial technology.
Founded in 2017, ExodusPoint Capital is a global multi-strategy investment management firm with operations across multiple countries and regions. As its international business has expanded, the firm has continued to strengthen its global operating and compliance framework, with particular emphasis on major financial centers including the United States and Singapore. Its experience operating within established regulatory environments in these markets is expected to support SigmaX’s future international development.
Under the current development plan, SigmaX will provide a unified digital platform integrating market data, trading tools, investment analytics and account management. Users will be able to access market information through a single interface while using the platform’s analytical and trading capabilities, reducing the operational friction associated with switching between multiple services.
The platform will also focus on improving data presentation and user workflows, with the goal of making complex financial information easier to understand and navigate. Its functionality is intended to support users with different levels of investment experience by providing relevant market information and analytical tools in a more accessible format.
Institutional investment expertise will form an important part of the SigmaX product framework. Waterfall Asset Management will contribute its experience in asset management, market research and risk control, while ExodusPoint Capital will bring multi-strategy investment capabilities as well as operational and compliance experience gained across international financial markets, including the United States and Singapore.
The two firms also plan to progressively translate established approaches to asset allocation, market analysis and risk identification into digital tools, providing users with a more structured framework for evaluating market information.
From a technology perspective, SigmaX will focus on strengthening trading-system stability, data-processing efficiency, information security and account-management infrastructure. The platform also plans to establish clear transaction-record and information-display mechanisms, enabling users to more easily review account activity and relevant transaction information.
Risk management will be incorporated throughout the platform’s development, supported by data analysis, standardized operating procedures and risk-identification mechanisms designed to strengthen the overall reliability of its services.
The companies stated that SigmaX is intended to go beyond simply adding online trading functionality. Instead, the platform seeks to integrate professional investment-management capabilities, international market experience, compliance frameworks and digital technology within a unified service environment.
As development progresses, SigmaX will continue expanding its capabilities across market data, investment analysis, trading tools, risk management and user services. With the United States and Singapore identified as key international markets, the platform plans to gradually broaden the range of digital investment services and use cases available to users.
